WebNone of the "magic keyboard" have butterfly keys. It is scissor switch keys. Coming from a Mid-2014 13" MacBook Pro, I have found this keyboard to be better than that computer (and I had already loved that keyboard). I think the key travel (this is about distance between keys) is equivalent to the mid-2014. WebThey truly are awful and Apple’s reliability took a huge hit. Stay away from the butterfly. Unless you live close to an Apple store to get it fixed. I actually returned my newly purchased refurbished MacBook Pro to Apple because the keyboard sucked so much (especially compared to my old 2013 13” MBP).
