WebJul 14, 2024 · I am simply trying to assign my x55 HOTAS. And it's totally FUBAR!! I go to my Settings\Controls\Controls Setup Wizard. I select the Saitek x55 Profile, and click Select Layout. And it doesn't save the selection. When I fly my controls dont' work at all. When I go back into the "Wizard" it is set to 'Custom controls' again!
WebFirst of all you'll want to identify the different controllers that you have connected to your machine. Go to Control Panel -> Devices and Printers. WebOn the taskbar; right click the X56 HOTAS icon (should be green); and click 'Clear' (icon should turn white). This should allow DCS to detect the mode switch as a 'button'. I do use em like so. In the Hornet I have it set to Radar Off/Stby/Operate. In the Harrier I use it for the three Nav mods; VSTOL/NAV/AG.

Just double click the control you want in DCS and then click the button on the X56 that you want to perform that command (Buttons on the joystick/throttle do NOT have to be associated with a keyboard key).
