It calls for Mobile1 15w-50 synthetic in the hyd tank. It has 830 hours and the scheduled interval to change it isn't until 1,000, but better safe than sorry I bought it in July of '07 and use it hard. Most all other mowers only go 250 to 500 hours between fluid changes.
