This helps to nurture enthusiasm for reading and provides children with the confidence needed to read aloud and enjoy the experience of reading. WebThe Story Dogs program is available to all primary schools – both state and private – and is free to all participating students. A school generally comes on board when a volunteer comes to us wanting to go to a school near them. If a school requests a dog team, we advertise either in the school newsletter or in that community.
